Born in Seattle and growing up in Bothell, Washington, Steve Millikan started piano lessons at 6 and never looked back.

After graduating from Cedarville University in Ohio, he formed the Christian band Selah, touring for a few years and recording two albums. Their eponymous debut Selah was the first album released on the Zondervan label.  Steve then moved with his young family to Indiana for closer proximity to Gaither Studios, playing keyboards and producing various artists.

In 1983 he started producing and writing for singer-songwriter Ray Boltz, resulting in such notable hits as “Watch The Lamb” and “Thank You” and albums that have sold in the millions.

Over the years he has played or produced for diverse artists Honeytree, Sandi Patti, Amy Grant, Joseph Lamm, John Williams, Greg Nelson, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Lea Solanga, Hal Leonard Publications, Bill Gaither, and countless others.

He continues to produce artists large and small, as well as directing the music at his church in Tipton, Indiana.
